# Review request message builder

## How it works

1. Add your business name and your review link.
2. Say what the customer had done, like "your boiler service", and choose SMS, WhatsApp or email.
3. Pick a sign-off, then copy the message.
4. Send it from your own phone or inbox, to every customer, not just the happy ones.

## Good to know

- Messages ask for honest feedback. They never offer a reward or ask only for five stars, which Google's review policy doesn't allow.
- Send the same link to every customer. Filtering out unhappy customers before they reach the review page is review gating, and Google prohibits it.
- Character counts are plain counts. Your phone may split long texts, or texts with emoji, into more than one message.

### What should a review request say?

Thank the customer for something specific, ask for honest feedback and include the link. Keep it short enough to read in a few seconds.

### Can I offer a discount for a review?

Not on Google. Its policy prohibits offering incentives for reviews, so the messages this tool writes never include one.

### When is the best time to ask?

Soon after the job or visit, while it's fresh, and at a time the customer is likely to read messages. For most local businesses that's the same day.

### Do you send the messages?

No. You copy the text and send it yourself. ReviewNudge doesn't collect phone numbers or email addresses.
